It's time to go cool and drenched! GOAgaga in Saligao is ideally called a villa apt because of this beautiful feature of the apt opening out to Nature eagerly. Unlike other apts which open to brick and wall corridor, this one affords a liberating view which instantly soothes the mind. The porch picture was taken just before the rain came pelting down.

The Anchor. MOG or Museum of Goa by #SubodhKerkar is a place travellers to Goa should visit. The term "museum" could be misleading because not all travellers prefer a museum visit (I wish they would find another term for it). But this museum is unique in that it has an amazing collection of authentic art in the form of sculptures, a lot of which explains the history and the others being a reflection of Goa in some way or the other. The level of originality is overwhelming and it's really worth a visit.
The Anchor was brought to notice by a friend of Subodh Kerkar. This friend found the anchor covered with oyster shells in the Tirocol River and the artist retrieved it, cleaned it up and installed it in his museum. #sculptureart #moggoa #pilernemog #saligaoart #seaobjects#artinthewater #touristinterest |
GinzaGoa is a serendipitous happening in my life; the kind that happens rarely, incidentally, without ado, to someone. This blog is my canvas of love for Goa. I intend to chronicle all that I love and don't like about the place with special emphasis on offbeat nooks, corners, and facts that you may not easily find on the walls. It'll be a piecemeal process but a conscientious one. Archives
