But not any more. People have begun to like the monsoon in Goa. I do. It's beautiful. Sublime. It's a peace maker. Totally disarming to find the skies crying their guts out and washing down the swathes of land in unending rain. The monsoons are on for more or less three months in Goa. It's done with this year. Good bye, nearly. Thanks for those lilting greens.
Everyone wants to holiday in Goa. Not a bad idea at all. There's a peak season and an off season. That latter primarily being towed in by the monsoons that commence in June.

It's been a sickening silence here. And I'm glad to be back. A lil saner.
I was in Goa with my husband for a complete break combined with some work. I was apprehensive as to how much I could enjoy the break and finish up the work in the heavily battering rain. Sweetly surprised was I! Just how much is what is written in this feature shared by goastreets.com. I bust the myth of off season in Goa during the high-tide monsoons. At least for my sake :) |
GinzaGoa is a serendipitous happening in my life; the kind that happens rarely, incidentally, without ado, to someone. This blog is my canvas of love for Goa. I intend to chronicle all that I love and don't like about the place with special emphasis on offbeat nooks, corners, and facts that you may not easily find on the walls. It'll be a piecemeal process but a conscientious one. Archives
